Marvel Rivals: Eternal Glory Trading Cards (Card Fun) – Full Hobby Box Review
The Marvel Rivals: Eternal Glory trading card set by Card Fun is an ambitious, content-heavy release that clearly aims to elevate the Marvel Rivals card line. After opening six hobby boxes (half a carton) along with promo packs, there’s a lot to unpack—both good and bad.
Right out of the gate, the scale of this set is staggering. With 1,825 total card variations, Eternal Glory leans heavily into variety. Collectors are treated to a wide range of inserts including MVP series cards, refractions, team-ups, art styles, and specialty themes like Ink Painting and Nirvana Rebirth. Compared to earlier Marvel Rivals sets, this one feels far less repetitive and much more engaging to open.
The pull experience is where this product really shines. Across six boxes, the break delivered multiple numbered cards—many with desirable characters—and even a massive hit: a 1/1 Black Widow MVP card, which is the kind of pull that defines an entire opening. Additional highlights included low-numbered cards like Captain America /50, Magneto /50, Storm /50, and others that add real excitement and value to each box.
Another strong point is the insert-to-base ratio. Roughly half the cards pulled were inserts, which keeps things fresh and avoids the fatigue that can come from seeing the same base cards repeatedly. This is a noticeable improvement over previous releases, where completing a base set was relatively quick and less rewarding.
In terms of design and feel, the cards are visually appealing and offer a satisfying thickness and durability in hand. Specialty cards—especially refractors and MVP hits—stand out with strong visual presence and premium finishes. The inclusion of bonus items, like the high-quality leather binder included with bulk purchases, is also a nice touch that adds perceived value.
However, the product is not without its flaws. The most significant issue is card condition. Many base cards show visible scratching, particularly on the backs, and some cards exhibit minor warping or edge wear straight out of the pack. These defects make grading difficult and may be frustrating for collectors who prioritize pristine condition.
Despite these quality concerns, the overall experience remains positive. The combination of deep checklist variety, strong hit potential, and improved insert distribution makes Eternal Glory an enjoyable and worthwhile rip—especially for collectors chasing rare cards or unique designs.
Final Verdict: 4/5
Marvel Rivals: Eternal Glory delivers where it counts—variety, excitement, and big-hit potential—but falls just short of perfection due to inconsistent card quality. For collectors willing to overlook minor condition issues, this set offers a fun and rewarding break with plenty of standout moments.
