Product Review: 2024 Disney Princess Collection Trading Cards by Epic
As a collector and a dad, I wasn't sure what to expect diving into the Disney Princess Collection by Epoch. But after opening six boxes (four on camera and two with my four-year-old daughter), I can say this: Epoch has created something charming, visually stunning, and surprisingly collectible—even for grownups.
Design & Variety (4/5)
The cards are beautiful. Foil finishes, reflective treatments, and unique art styles—like the manga inserts—make for a visually appealing unboxing. You’ll find Princess Flower, Icon, and Villain cards, along with specialty sets like Digi Duality, Barely There, Die-Cut, and Epoch Gem inserts. The gem cards in particular add serious chase value.
We pulled multiple numbered cards—some as rare as 1-of-5 and 2-of-10, including an autographed Cinderella, which has already been sent for grading. These high-end pulls make the experience exciting for both collectors and casual fans.
Base Set Critique (3/5)
Where the product stumbles is the base set design. There’s simply not enough variety. After just a couple of boxes, you start to see heavy duplication. If you’re buying multiple boxes, expect to stack up on the same cards quickly.
The upside? It makes completing a base set relatively easy, even from one or two boxes—which is great for younger fans or collectors focused on display rather than rarity.
Collector Value (4.5/5)
If you're in it for the hits, Epic delivers. In just four boxes, I pulled eight numbered cards, a handful of foil-treated specials, and some low-numbered rare variants. One standout was a Mulan card numbered to 50, and another was a beautifully framed Belle card numbered to 75.
The Epoch Gem cards, although not found in every box, remain a fun and rewarding surprise. These chase cards elevate the entire experience for more serious collectors.
Kid Appeal (5/5)
My daughter was thrilled. She helped open two boxes off-camera and was just as invested in the pulls as I was. Characters like Ariel, Cinderella, and Moana are instantly recognizable, and the foil designs add a bit of that "wow" factor. I even plan to compile a full base set just for her—something we can enjoy together.
Final Thoughts
Epic’s Disney Princess Collection succeeds in being family-friendly, collectible, and visually engaging. While the base set could benefit from more depth, the rare and numbered cards help offset the repetition. Whether you’re a Disney fan, a card collector, or a parent looking for a bonding activity with your kid—this set is worth picking up.
Overall Rating: 3.5/5

Beautiful card designs and foil treatments
Rare inserts and autographs create real chase value
Kid-friendly and collector-approved
Cons:
Base set is too limited; heavy duplication across boxes
Some inserts can be hard to identify due to subtle foil differences
