Product Review: Topps Disney Genesis Trading Cards

If you're a Disney fan and a trading card enthusiast, Topps Disney Genesis might just be the sweet spot you've been looking for. In a recent unboxing I dove into this sleek and collectible set—and my reaction gives us a great look into what collectors can expect. Check out the video on YouTube to see the pulls.

⭐ What's Inside:

Each Topps Disney Genesis box contains one pack of five cards, and every single card is numbered to 99 or less. With three boxes opened, we got a good sample of what this product has to offer. Some of the standout features include:

  • Premium foil finishes: Blue, gold, orange, purple, red shimmer, black shimmer, and silver circles.

  • Strong card stock: Cards feel thick and high quality.

  • Great print quality: Vivid colors and crisp design elevate the visual appeal.

🔥 Pull Highlights:

My unboxing revealed some exciting pulls:

  • A 3/5 Joe Gardner (Red Shimmer) – one of the rarest pulls of the session.

  • Kylo Ren Orange Foil /25 and Gold Foil Black Panther /50, both visually stunning.

  • Classic and beloved characters like R2-D2, Wolverine, Judy Hopps, and Cinderella.

Even though a one-of-one wasn’t pulled, the range of characters and rarity tiers offered plenty of excitement.

🎨 Design & Presentation:

The packaging is simple but solid, and the packs themselves have a sturdy, premium feel. The cards deliver visually—foil variants shimmer nicely, and the base cards are still attractive.

🤔 Final Thoughts:

My enthusiasm is contagious, and it’s clear this product delivers a fun and satisfying unboxing experience. While I wished for a few more ultra-rares or unique character pulls, the overall haul was solid, especially with multiple cards numbered below 25.

If you enjoy Disney IP and want a product that leans into high-quality presentation with a guarantee of low-numbered cards, Topps Disney Genesis is a strong buy. It's fast-paced fun with great potential for collecting or flipping. My only major concern is the price point the boxes are selling for. It's over $800 a pack to rip this stuff. So if the pulls aren't legendary good luck making your money back. Tough to do with 3 Things (yes I pulled 3 Things).

Rating: ★★★★☆ (3.5/5)
Pros: Excellent card quality, consistent numbering, broad character range
Cons: One pack per box feels short-lived; potential for character repetition (3 “Thing” cards pulled) PRICE, PRICE, PRICE!
